Light a Spark is the annual Fourth of July extravaganza hosted by the Stillwater Public Library Foundation and generously sponsored by the Huelsmann Foundation and other local businesses and donors. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the St. Croix River, the Johnson Terrace at Stillwater Public Library is a terrific location to enjoy the 4th of July. Light a Spark is a both a significant fundraiser to support Stillwater Public Library's programs, materials, and services, and a community-building initiative. Attendees are treated to dinner, refreshing drinks, a cash bar, lively music, and engaging games, ensuring a memorable experience for all. The highlight of the evening is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of Stillwater's extraordinary fireworks from the library terrace! Light a Spark is the Stillwater Public Library Foundation's only fundraising event of the year and it raises money to support many important activities at the library including Sunday hours, books and materials, library programs for adults and children, and much more. Reserved parking in the library parking ramp is very limited, with each spot costing $10. As sponsorships include this benefit, we will maintain a waiting list for individuals wishing to reserve a parking space.
